0 GB data plan
Hi, just a quick question, I am thinking to set a "no data" plan for my child, texts and minutes only, but I am wondering if there is "no data" in the plan, does it mean that there is no connection to internet even the cell's "mobile data" button is turned on, OR as long as the "mobile data" button is on, there is connection and will be charged as extra since actual data would be used. (I won't add money to wallet or buy any "add on")
Please can someone help me to understand here. Thanks a lot.

According to the below faq article, if there is no data in your plan, you will not be able to access the Fizz mobile Internet network so there will be no data charges or access to the data network unless you add money to wallet or buy an add-on.

Default, with Fizz you have 250 megs with bonus of points, it's possible more of 500 meg if you speak in forum etc. (System of points)
SMS but (iMessage) version have need data to work with iphone. Possible to disabled for SMS but not possible to receive iMessage of other iPhone. (Data Required)
SMS with more 160 letters is MMS and data require the same with photo or other special characters.
Google RCS or new iphone with os 18.x have this but mobile data has required to.
Only standard SMS does'nt need data..

Fizz is prepaid so unless you explicitly pay for it via addons or add funds to wallet you will not be charged.
If you select no data in your child's plan they will not be able to receive data from gifts.
If you are bundling your services under one account, by default you receive an upgrade for 250mb for data that you can use on their plan.
Eventually when you reach higher levels through time you can unlock bigger data upgrades for their plan if they need that data. You can find out about rewards here:

Thanks for the example, just curious that if sending SMS with more than 160 letters or sending photos or other special characters via SMS, then I will be charged extra since data required & used. (if there is no any bonus data)
OR if there is "no data" in the plan, by default, I won't be allowed to send SMS with more than 160 letters and / or photos etc.?
