Confirm order of steps when needing both: to port a tel. number and transfer data?

I just received the FIZZ sim card and a new telephone. I will be porting my current telephone number to FIZZ and I also need to transfer data from the old to the new phone. Question: what is the right way to proceed? porting the data first to the new phone and only after that proceeding with porting the number? or vice versa? thank you !

Here is the link for android phones on how to transfer your data.

Once that is complete, remember to follow the porting instructions carefully and NOT insert the SIM card into,the new phone until you have sent the confirmation sms to your existing carrier to confirm you want the number ported.

Hi, It makes more sense to have your data transferred to your new device and then perform the SIM card transfer from your old device to your new device.

This depends on from what phone are you using, iPhone or Android. You should make a backup, both platform have the options to transfer the data from one device to another.

Regarding the porting you need to remember to use a referral code in order to get the 40$ you can do it only at the activation (porting) to the first number under one account.

First you should transfer all your data, just to be sure you have everything in order.
