Can I buy and activate a Fizz SIM in Ontario even though I will be keeping my Quebec number?

I will be living again in the Montreal area soon. I would like to transfer my current 438 cell number to Fizz. Can I buy a SIM card in Ontario to start the process, or should I get one from Quebec? Thanks

You can make all the procedure from Ontario, you should be able to port it, since I read other users that did it.

If it doesn't work, you should activate using your Quebec address

Remember to use a referral code in order to receive 25$ at your 2nd payment, you can pick mine if you don't have one, you can find it in my name after code

You can activate your sim but don't forget to keep your account active on the process with your current number until the transfer is well completed. You should be good to go after.

There's no indication in the FAQ that states that SIMs must be activated in the province they were purchased so it should be okay to purchase the SIM anywhere and activate it whenever you need to.

you can use the sim purchased from ontario. but make sure to use your quebec address for the account if you plan to use quebec plans in the future.
