Intro Data plan expires July 22!
Just went online to order a SIM card for myself and my husband but I see the intro data plan (starting at 6G for $23 expires today..July 22!.. Is that changing because it is the sole reason and it appears I can only choose/lock in my plan when I get the SIM Card. Trying to 'chat' with a real fizz employee but taking forever...so also a bit concerned with how that will work later if I have issues...ie getting help.

Hi @BrendaB
You will pay the price that is active at the activation sorry
I checked, it seems that the 6Gb is the same price, this depends on where you live, the prices increase are for 15Gb and more

Hi @BrendaB
Sorry I didn't respond to the last concern. This month, it seems very difficult to get in touch with support. I don't know if this is due to the new services they are testing. Fizz is testing new hardware for internet and TV service, which probably puts a bit more pressure on the support team.
When I need then it was easy to get in touch.
Finally, I would like to suggest using a referral code to activate your first plan. If you don't have one, you can use mine, which is in my name after the code. This will give you $25. You can then create another account to activate your second plan using the referral code of your first account, giving you an additional $25 on each account. In this way, you'll have $75 in total (50$ on the first account and 25$ on the second one at your second payment). While you'll end up with two accounts, it is worth it.

you should be good. seems like the change isnt too big for the plans 10G and below. The $20 plan now actually increased from 2G to 3G for the same price. 15G or higher is much more expensive now though.

Price lock-in is determined at plan activation. So you will need to wait a few business days for your SIM to get delivered.
At 6GB/mo the prices are identical for data.
However, for Unlimited Calls/Texting the price of the plan will change due to INTRO pricing.
Currently the prices for those options are halved. (Texts $2 and Calls $4)
These will double to $4 and $8 respectively. So it will add $6 to the price of your plan.
If you've already ordered a SIM it's unlikely you'll be able to refund it as they are typically non-refundable.
Currently in ON I see the promotion is still ongoing and I'm not sure if that is a timezone related.
Support is handling a lot of queries at the moment due to new users and beta testing TV service so it might be difficult to reach them.
Support will most likely not be able to anything about getting the introductory promotional rate after it expires but you might have luck submitting a complaint although I am doubtful that will work either.

Intro pricing has officially ended for the provinces outside of QC but after having a look at the plan prices for all provinces, the prices are here to stay.
Looks like there won't be any issues when you go to activate your SIMs. You'll still get 6GB/mo for $23.
