Porting from Fizz to VoIP.ms, then back to Fizz?

Hello all,

I would like to know if anyone has ever done what the title mentions. I will be away for about 10 months but want to keep my Canadian number for when I come back. From what I've found online, VoIP.ms seems to be the best (and cheapest) option - although it does seem a bit complicated. So, has anyone done it successfully? Also - do you keep your badges, achievements and such when you port back? I also have an Internet and TV plan (my family keeps it since we live together) and wonder if those will be affected if my phone plan disappears.

Thanks in advance for your input.

    1. You can port it to a VoIP provider but you will not be able to port it back to Fizz directly. The workaround will be to port your number to another mobile provider and then back to Fizz.

If your phone number is associated with a landline or VOIP, it cannot be transferred over to Fizz. Same goes for an administrative phone number — for example, a number associated with an organization or public institution.

    2. Your Internet and TV plans will not be affected by the phone number transfer as long as your Fizz account is active. Your points, badges, achievements will remain intact.

Here is what will happen if you unsubscribe:

    Regression in the Program

If you deactivate all of your plans, you will switch from progression mode to regression mode in the Program. Therefore, rather than accumulating points, you will lose points. You will drop down one level at a time and will gradually lose the privileges and rewards associated with the levels lost. The stages of regression are as follows:

At the end of the month following deactivation of your services, you will lose 25% of all your points as well as the levels associated with them.

At the end of each subsequent month, you will lose 5% of your remaining points.

Regression will continue until you reach Level 3, which is the bottom level of the Program.

From the moment you enter the regression mode, you may reactivate a service at any time to stop regressing and start progressing again in the Program. You will resume at your current level, with the rewards that are already in your account. The terms of regression are subject to change without notice.

She will not unsubscribe, she has several plans in her account (phone, Internet and TV). She will just remove her phone plan from it.
