Unable to post pictures

I tried attaching a picture in one of my posts but the picture doesn't show up in the post.
I select the picture to add and it just adds a small banner with the file name.
The preview also just shows the small banner with the file name and once posted the picture is not there.
Is there a particular file format for inserted pictures?
What am I missing?

Did you join the forum only recently? At the beginning you are in a sort of probationary period which limits some features

Yes it can be a problem with the forum configuration for the new users, since I am able to post it

I did join just recently so probation is probably the issue.

Usually in a week or two this will be removed, probably you also remarked that your post are not visible right after posting it

It could be because of the low Internet speed. You should wait 1-2 minutes after adding the image so that this one will be uploaded to the message.
