If you confirmed the porting SMS from your previous provider, check the status of your Fizz plan
You should also receive an welcome email from Fizz, after this, you can insert the Fizz's SIM to your phone and retsart it.
if for any reason you get problem with the porting you can contact the support, https://fizz.ca/en/support you'll find a green bubble. Click on it to chat with support, available 24/7.

The porting is usually completed in less than 2 hours. Did you already confirm the porting out to your old provider? After that it's usually very quick and you should not have any service with your old sim. When that happens, you can pop in your new Fizz SIM and everything should be set!
