When I get a Tavel plan for example to go to the us why am I unable to make calls and send texts?

I recently travelled to LA and so I got myself a travel plan but was unable to send text messages or have phone calls they would either go straight to voicemail or not not delivered.

    What. Plan do you are talking? The Canada /US plan? If you change the plan with this coverage, do you know that the new plan will be available only on the next billing cycle?

    Did you enable the roaming option on your phone?
