Why am I not getting 90% off as promised?

I opted for the $4 plan, but instead of only paying $4 plus tax, I'm paying almost $5.50 a month. That's over a 25% difference. Just because it's so cheap, it doesn't make it okay to not provide what you offer. Please explain to me what I am paying extra for... because it was NOT listed or disclosed when I signed up.

I understand your concern about the difference in the expected and actual billing amount for your $4 plan with Fizz. Let's break down what might be contributing to this difference:

    1. Taxes: The most common reason for a difference in the billed amount is the addition of taxes. The $4 advertised for the plan is typically before taxes. Depending on where you live, different state or provincial taxes, along with federal taxes, are added to this base price.
    2. Additional Fees: There might be other small regulatory fees or contributions that telecommunication companies are required to collect. These can include contributions to funds like the Universal Service Fund or local 911 service charges, depending on the region.
    3. Currency Exchange Rates: If your bank account is in a different currency and the charge is in Canadian dollars, currency exchange rates and potential fees from your bank could add to the cost.
    4. Billing Error: While less common, there's always a possibility of a billing error. It's important to check the itemized bill for any discrepancies.

Given these possibilities, I recommend the following steps:

    • Review Your Bill: Check the detailed breakdown of your bill. Fizz usually provides an itemized bill that shows exactly what each charge is for.
    • Compare with Local Tax Rates: Match the tax rates on your bill with the local tax rates to see if they align.
    • Contact Fizz Support: If there's still an unexplained discrepancy or if you need more clarification, reaching out to Fizz support would be the best course of action. They can provide specific details related to your account and charges.

If you need to contact Fizz customer service, they will create a ticket if the situation warrants it.

We cannot contact directly to technical support.

The idea of this page https://fizz.ca/en/contact-us is to explain how you can access the chat bubble. If you do a search in the Solution Hub related to your issue and access the help page the chat bubble will appear at the right corner.

If the chat bubble does not appear, this means that the number of sessions waiting for our answers surpasses our processing capacity. If that happens, send us a private message via Facebook Messenger or Twitter.

Unfortunately the taxes and 911 fee are unavoidable with any cell plan, it is the law from the government.

What's this 90% off? Is it only for new beta users?

Yeah I'm curious about this $4 plan too, the cheapest I've ever seen has been $10, and that's with everything (minutes, texts, data) deactivated.
