Can I use a Fizz SIM card purchased in 2019 for a new account?

I bought 2 Fizz SIM cards in 2019 - they are non-volte capable I presume. Can I give one to a friend to use with a new Fizz Mobile account? The question really is, do the original FIZZ SIM cards no longer work?

You can always try, but they are not supposed to not work anymore, since they are not VoLTE and the new activation are done with VoLTE technology. Do you know that they are selling for 5$ to couche tard?

I already asked Fizz support this question and they told me NO it will not work.
