Your data is going to be rolled over to the next month and you can use it then, unless it is about to expire. Is it that what you mean by functionality?

Must I buy the travel add-on before the start of the payment cycle which will correspond to the month of the trip? My payment cycle is the 6th of each month and I will start the trip on the 13th. Can I buy the add-on on the 13th or must I buy it before the 6th? Thanks

The travel add-ons are available immediately and are valid for 2 billing cycles. So I suggest you to buy it after 6 (when your new billing cycle starts) or on 13th.

If you stay couples of weeks in Mexico, you can buy a SIM there you can have from 200 to 300 pesos with the calls to Canada.
