Can anyone please tell me how long it takes for a comment or post to be approved

I would like to please know how long it takes for a comment or post to be published / visible to everyone? I accidentally sent the same comment twice because I thought it had just disappeared , but the second time I noticed the little pop up at the bottom of the page saying something like ' will be visible when approved '

Fizz implemented some sort of spam protection back in August. So for the new users the first comments will be "approved" by a moderator, not sure how long it will take to be fully approved user though.
