Are Fizz phones locked to Fizz network?

I was wondering, when you buy a phone through Fizz, are they locked to Fizz network?

If yes, when and how can they be unlocked? Will the unlocking process be free?

no the phones are unlocked

If you bought your phone from a Canadian provider after December 1, 2017, it is unlocked by default.
