Is there a new modem firmware available or can I use a different modem alltogether ?
Hi there,
I think that there is an issue with my modem. Initially it works fine but with the time it starts dropping connection and takes longer and longer to re-establish connection. It gets fixed for awhile after I factory reset it but then starts deteriorating again.

Can I use a different type of modem then. This one is unreliable.

Hello,
The only option is the Fizz modem: Hitron CODA-4680 ( no other modem is available, yet )
You can maybe verify the solidity of the coaxial cable ( at both ends: securely tightened!? )
In the other hand, you can add your router ( if you think that helps )

Please helpI agree, the Fizz modem is not great. There's a "secret" beta program for people to test the new modem, and new internet plans for 940mbps are receiving the new modem. Unfortunately existing clients cannot yet take advantage of this offer. Unfair treatment.

@Delian This modem has wifi issue s, I connect mine own router to fix it.
