Replacing an old SIM card for VoLTE for free

I am thinking about switching to a Canada + US plan, but my SIM card is not VoLTE compatible. Tried to order a new one, but can't seem to be able to do it for free from my app. What are the steps to have a SIM card replaced with a VoLTE compatible one for free? Thanks.
