I currently live in Canada, and going to the USA on the 21st.

My month ends on the 26th and it seems I can only change the plan when the month ends, on that day the 26th.

Is there a way to change my plan right now? I don't mind paying extra, I just need to be able to use calls+wifi in the USA from the 21st to the end of the month.

I currently cannot find a way to do that, could anyone help me?

Thanks :)

    Hi @SaltyPhal

Yes you must ask the plan modification 4.5 days before the end of the billing cycle, however, the plan will be modified the next billing cycle.

Therefore, the only solutions is to add and addons or put money in your FIzz wallet for the 5 days till the next billing cycle

This is the info for https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-is-an-add-on-and-how-do-i-buy-one

For the calls be sure that the VoLTE is working for you, to check the VoLTE

    • Disable the WiFi
    • Make a calls
    • Check if your call stay in LTE, if this is the case you have a VoLTE plan( therefore, certified phone, VoLTE SIM and a VoLTE plan)

It seems to be only for calls? Is there a way to use internet data as well?

You need to buy an addon for the calls an other for the data

If you put money in your wallet you can use for the calls and data, however, it is a bit more expensive, however, you pay per use

Unfortunately at this point you can't change your plan... You have to buy travel add-ons or add money to your wallet and pay per use, even though it could be more expensive

    Hi @SaltyPhal

If you need to use your phone a lot, you can always, buy a new SIM, and activate a new plan from your trip

However, you really need to use a lot :D (hours of calls, Gbs of usage)

    Hello 👋

You can not change you plan right now, Fizz is a prepaid service! You can open a new account, with a better package ( extra money ) or employ the use of a deposit of money in your actual account:

Wallet ( this is where you deposit and store money to cover Pay As You Go minutes, texts, minutes for international calls and roaming. Simply use your credit card to add funds to your wallet, ...keep money in your wallet as a backup in case you deplete your monthly plan.)

    Vs (or employ a/some add-ons)

Add-Ons ( they are useful if you’re running low on monthly data or minutes, or if you want to add a feature, such as international calling, that’s not part of your current monthly plan.

Buy an Add-On when you need more data, minutes, text or minutes for international call coverage than your current monthly plan allows. Add-Ons take effect immediately. ( And they expire!!! : they’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle; in other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days. )

Please consider that you need a Volte SIM card If you are traveling in the United States, United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, only the LTE network may be available. 👇
