Question about Canada+US coverage and my VoLTE phone
I will be traveling to New York and was looking into the Canada+US coverage. I have a Google Pixel 4a (not 4a 5g). It has VoLTE (enabled in settings). Is 4g LTE enough to be compatible? I noticed only the 5g is in the "certified volte" section on the website. I don't know anything about mobile phones so I want to make sure.

That phone is not VoLTE certified. Also I am not sure when did you join Fizz. If after March 16, 2022 then you should already have VoLTE SIM card and your account should be on VoLTE as well.

If you have the VoLTE options in the settings, try to disable the wifi, make a call and see if the phone is switching from LTE to 3G
if during the call the phone stay in LTE this means that the phone is making a VoLTE call, if the call is done in 3G this means that you don’t have an active VoLTE plan. This can because your phone is not certified or because you don’t have a VoLTE sim or because your plan Is not migrated to the VoLTE yet

I spent a few days in Upstate New York last week and I couldn`t make calls on my Motorola (not on the VoLTE certified list) with the most recent SIM card. I could only use data on the AT&T network.
