Is Samsung A54 5G VoLTE compatible?
Hello.
I urgently must replace my phone with VoLTE compatible and I choose Samsung Galaxy A54 5G. BUT... Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is not certified for VoLTE, according the list of certified phones of Fizz, but Samsung answers that it Is.
So can you tell me is Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is compatible or not?

Without the SIM you cannot use the VoLTE when you are back you can order here https://zone.fizz.ca/dce/customer-ui-prod/simcard/free-order?step=quantity, at this point the phone is not the problem.
In order to make a call, at this point, you should use the 2G network, if it doesn't work, you need to pick TMobile or event verizon network

Only the Samsung A51 model that was sold from Videotron would work.

Usually the Samsung are compatible, since I believe that the software is not much different from the A53. The list is update frequently and probably it will be added in the next weeks

And Fizz too, according the list!

The problem can be multiple different factor
- When did you subscribe before or after the 16th March 2022? If you subscribe before March 2022, did you receive the confirmation of the migration
- Do you have an addon or a Canada/USA plan?
- Do you have a VoLTE SIM? with a red lightning bolt
For the moment you can also try to force the phone to use only the 2G in order to make calls

I'm customer of Fizz defore the 16th of March 2022. But NO, i didn't received that email. My plan covers US.
And, NO, my SIM card don't have a red lightning bolt.

Sorry but you won’t be able to make calls in the US unless you try with the 2G like Jess said.

You need to order a new SIM with the red bolt, for free, from Fizz and then activate it and hope everything goes smoothly with the activation process...

Hello all... again!
Now I have a NEW SIM card with a red lightning bolt, but... IT DOESN'T WORK!!! 😕
For a month I was thinking that the problem is in the phone, but now I'm in Bulgaria in vacation. I bought a pre-paid card from a local provider and put it into the second slot in my A51 and .... O, MIRACLE!!!! 😲 - the local card works with VoLTE.
I was thought 🤔, may be only one slot is compatible with VoLTE and I switch the places of both cards...
... and the Fizz SIM card appears like VoLTE compatible too!??!??😳
The phone says "restart the phone" and I did.🫣
After that or If I changed cards in the slots again - the Fizz card is no longer VoLTE compatible again, but the local card continue be OK with VoLTE....🤔
Honestly, I'm in shock - is there someone who can explain me WT... is going on here?!

Agree, but you want Fizz SIM card to be working, no? So if you check the list of certified phones, there are no dual SIM models there unfortunately.

Do you mean, that FIZZ not allowed to use A51 by some reason... like because the phone is not 5G, maybe...?

I guess we are learning new things everyday!
Certain phones do have/support deferent frequences.(and that is valid maybe for each one of the SIM card slots? )

What they are saying is that Fizz didn't certify any dual sim version of any phone. Since your phone is dual sim, it has different software and hardware and since it hasn't been certified by Fizz, VoLTE won't work...

I am looking for a mid-range phone that offers VoLTE and e-sim compatibility and I am looking at the Galaxy A54 5G. This is how I found this thread but I am now more confused than ever. I asked the Samsung support about its e-sim compatibility and they said that the phone has two Sim slots. The A54 is on the Fizz VoLTE-certified list but someone in this post mentioned that no dual sim phones are certified by Fizz. Can someone enlighten me or is it better to contact support to be sure? Or can you recommend any other affordable phone that offers both VoLTE and e-sim (which I would need for travelling)? Thank you!

The biggest different between the dual sim and one SIM A54 is the model #
Some cheap phone, the second card as limited frequency, but I don't think that this is the case for samsung.
Said that, Fizz should be provisioning the phone without problem
