Can't change forum username

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why my forum username can't be changed? I want to add my code in as I have seen so many other do but it says "I don't have permission".

Having the most unproductive conversation with chat. They won't give me a straight answer.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

    You need to contact the support they disabled it.

    • Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '❔' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode

    • Choose the option 💬 chat

    • If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.

    I had this interaction a few days ago as well, 4 different people over support just said to clear cache and try other browser and incognito; IE not at all helpful even after I told them all that was done and it's clearly just a forum thing, as shown by the screenshot. One CS who finally knew what he was doing finally just send a message to a forum mod to change it.

    It's pretty ridiculous to not be able to change your own username, I agree, and to have to do 20 back and forth to just get it done.
