Moving to a new place - Self-installation

Hello, I'm moving to a new place in a couple of weeks and I'm wondering what I need to know before opting for internet self-installation. Is it too naive to only consider reporting the move on my account and connecting the router to the existing cable in the new place? I've checked and it seems that Fizz is available at the new address, even though the previous tenant used a different internet provider.

I believe that you already have the Fizz's modem, if this is the case this is the guide https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-moving-how-do-i-change-my-address-my-home-internet-service

Therefore, you need to take an appointment, the Fizz's tech will test the existing cable, and you will need to bring you Fizz's modem and connect it.
