I am considering switching from videotron over to fizz.

Can I use my helix modem or do I need to sell it and purchase a fizz modem?

You need to use the Fizz's modem, you cannot use the Helix modem.

The modem is given free of charge.

You can also wait before closing the previous provider to test your Home Internet plan is activated.

After the testing contact your previous provider to cancel your Internet subscription with them, and avoid paying double.
