200Mbps WITH WIFI, 75Mbps with Ethernet RJ45 cable ????
Hi everyone,
I don't know what's going on. I can't go higher 90 Mbps (averaging between 75-90), When I plug in any device with an Ethernet cable (RJ45). I tried a laptop, Chromecast, Smart TV, etc. I tried different Rj45 cables, (cat5, cat6), I tried them on different router inputs.
Weirdly enough, is that I can reach 200Mbps if I'm connected to the Fizz router wifi's network.
Even weirder : I got a TP link wifi extender that's plugged into an RJ45, and I'm able to reach 220Mbps on the WIFI although this particular wifi extender is plugged into the routeur with a RJ45 cable...that makes no sense...
Can you guys help plz ?
Thank you,
Steven

Hi @StvnbeGoode
This is very strange
- Check the Ethernet port speed settings on your router to make sure they are set to auto-negotiate or gigabit.
- Try disabling any power-saving options on the Ethernet ports on your devices.
- Try to reboot the modem
- If the issue persists, try resetting your router and reconfiguring your network to see if that resolves the issue.
