Email to SMS (gateway)

Other mobile companies allow users to receive SMS messages that are originally sent as emails. As an example, with Fido, friends could text by sending me an email to  514XXXXXXX@fido.ca (xxxxxxx being the remainder of my mobile#).

It should be relatively basic, but I have yet to find out if I can do this with FIZZ. And, assuming so, what email address I'd have to provide. Thoughts?

    Not sure that this is possible with Fizz. At the end of the day, don't forget that fizz is a budget company and can't provide the same services as for example companies like Fido or Tellus.

    @Vasiok: I understand that FIZZ is very budget oriented, but I would have thought that email to SMS was a basic feature.

    @all: any idea if Videotron offers this functionality?

    "No you can not" because of technological limitations? I'm rather sure it's a very basic service that most every mobile provider offers, so their must be a way to do it, no?

    Hello !

    I'm happy to help you with your question. I'm not sure if Fizz offers the functionality to receive SMS messages as emails. I recommend that you contact their customer service for more information on this feature.

    They will be able to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on this issue. 

     Here are the steps to follow in order to contact the service about this matter if it should become necessary:


    1- Log in to your

    account (see top right)

    https://zone.fizz.ca/dce/customer-ui-prod/#/account/overview. 

    2- Any ad blocker in your browser must be disabled. 

    3- You should be on

    a help page: https://fizz.ca/fr/faq/resoudre-un-enjeu

    4- The green bubble should appear at the bottom right of the page, click and choose chat.


    If the chat bubble still does not appear at the bottom right of the page after a few seconds, it is because the number of pending sessions is greater than the service's processing capacity. At this point, you can leave a message on the other communication channels offered:

    By private message

    By private message

    I think you can suggest this feature to fizz team and maybe they will be able to implement it. It there is demand, probably they'll do it:-)
