Can't receive text SMS, can receive GIFs, can send, receive from other people.
So there's this one person, I can't receive their text SMS, but I can receive their animated GIFs, and they can receive my text SMS just fine, it's just the written stuff they send me, I don't receive them, but it's just that one person, and it's just text...
Anyone has any idea what's going on?

Do you have an iPhone?
Do you use the native SMS app?
Did you try to turn off the phone for 30 seconds, at least? Or better change the provider from automatic to manual and select a different provider?
The steps for enabling your phone to automatically select a network varies depending on the type of phone. Here are two examples:
Android: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network operators → Search networks → Automatic/Fizz
iPhone: Settings → Operators → Automatic/Fizz
