Is it possible to give data to another plan in the same account?

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible to give data to another phone from the same account. The different information I find talks about giving it to another member. I wonder if I should open a second account or use the same one for the second phone.

Bonjour, Hi, i believe you can give data to a 2nd user in the same account, but it is essential that your plan has data and that the plan of your wife to whom you want to give data, has data.

Essential:

your plan with data

your wife's plan with data

In summary, both the giver and the receiver must have data plans.

You can only gift unused data of you current month, you can gift it right before your current payment cycle ends. Once this cycle is over, however, the data will roll over.

You cannot gift Gifted data, data tha already rollover add-ons.

The person that is going to receive the data must have a data plan.

However, there is an exception. You can gift data received from Fizz (perks) to anyone with a Fizz account, but in your case, when you are going to activate the perks, you select the plan.

Since you don't have a plan right now, in my opinion, you are better off opening a new account, and activating your plan in this one using your wife referral number, if you are activating before the end of the month you will receive 50$ each, at your second payment.

If you can buy the SIM card from Jean Coutu, till the end of the month you will receive 15$ gift card, therefore, you are virtually end up paying only the taxes for the SIM.

Finally, remember that if you don't use a lot of data, you can start 1 Gb, you can change the plan every month with Fizz

Yes, you can. I am using this option. I have 2 mobile plans in my account mine with 1GB and my wife's with 5GB. So I am "stealing" 🤫 (gifting) data from my wife's plan to me sometimes 🤭.

Yes you can, however, the plan must have a data plan on it

You can send a data gift to:

• Any Fizz customer who is findable in Contacts and has a data plan
• A complete stranger, as long as they are findable and have a Fizz data plan

You cannot send a data gift to:

• People who are not Fizz members
• Fizz members with no data plan
• Fizz members who have designated themselves incognito

Buying an Add-on or applying a perk or an upgrade allow you to add extra data to your plan, but that won’t give you the ability to gift or receive data. To gift or receive data, your plan must include data from the get-go.

But it's not clear for me that I can give the data to the same account, but different plan. If I have one account and two different plans (e.g. me and my wife), can I give her some data?

I don't have a Mobile plan yet, maybe that's why I don't understand. Does each plan creates/requires an account?
