USA Travel AddOn still Working ?

I plan to travel to US and want to buy a call travel-add on but not sure if it is still working.

I got confused by this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/why-do-some-calls-and-texts-when-us-not-work and the fact that fizz still proposing me the option to buy calls travel add-ons:

    Fizz officially says that calls and texts while you are in the US are not supported with Fizz mobile.

    While some customers have reported that calls/texts are still functional while they are in the US. So it does appear to be working in some areas like where 2G or 3G network remain available.

    That is the situation as of today. The situation will change going forward.

    If you really need calling and texting, consider purchasing roaming data and installing a free VOIP app on your phone.
