Losing internet connectivity

Just moved back to Ottawa and losing internet while driving. Provider issue or something else? Rogers states that Fizz only gets access to 60% of their towers. Am I driving through areas when Fizz doesn't have access to towers? I don't want to go back to Roger's for many reasons but when I'm getting lost when GPS cuts out...not much choice if it's a coverage issue

Thanks

    Hi

You can check the Fizz coverage map here - https://fizz.ca/en/coverage

Which phone model do you use? Make sure your phone fully is compatible with Fizz network - https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices

Btw if you already have a trip planned in your app, you should be able to navigate to your destination even if mobile data is disabled. If you leave the GPS location option enabled on your phone, the trip navigation should work even without mobile data.

If you encounter any issues, you can contact Fizz customer service by opening this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/resolving-issues and simply scroll down until you see the green bubble, then click on it to start your chat session with Fizz customer service.

You can also do it on Facebook: https://facebook.com/fizzca

I'm assuming you have a Quebec - Canada plan and that you've activated data roaming, and that you have available data. I travelled from Brockville to Montreal last April with seamless connection so I expect it should be a similar situation Ontario highway driving to Ottawa. As for navigation, I recommend you pre-load your maps - Google Maps allows that and it works fine even when no data connection is available. Good luck!
