    Hi,

unfortunately no, you can change your plan at anytime by loging into your account. Although, the changes you make will only take effect at the beginning of your next payment cycle.

Since you have the Quebec coverage in your plan, consider buying a Travel Add-on or an International call Add-on to make your calls to Canada or the United States.

Add-Ons are active immediately. They’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle.

In other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days.

How do I buy an Add-On?

    To buy an Add-On:

    1. Go to My Plans in your Fizz account.
    2. Here you’ll see a usage summary for all your Plans.
    3. Scroll to the Plan you are buying the Add-On for.
    4. Click Buy Add-On.
    5. Here you’ll see three options: Data, Calls/Text and International calls.
    6. Choose the type of Add-On you need and the desired amount.
    7. You can choose one Add-On per category (Data, Calls/Text, International calls).
    8. For international calls, enter the country you will visit and browse relevant Add-Ons.
    9. Choose your payment method, review your summary and click Submit.

    Hello @Jazzmine84

If it's just a punctual need, or maybe as an alternative until next cycle, you could by a Canada add-on:

That's actually a preferable solution if it's for a temporary need as this protects a grand-fathered plan pricing, if that was your case. Long story short, changing plan makes you loose preferential price.

  • Hello @Jazzmine84, as others have pointed out, changes to your regular monthly plan do not come in to effect until your next 30-day period. Calling add-ons are one option, the other is to use a install a calling app, which you would use on your mobile data or on WIFI. The cost of using calling apps varies but rates are generally very inexpensive and much more flexible than changing your regular plan or add-ons, the key being they allow WIFI calling so usable anywhere you have WIFI and great for travel. If you go this route, there are many good calling apps, look for good reviews and apps that require few permissions and recent updates for better security. Some of the better technology websites have the top ten lists as a general guide.
