username ? The default username to connect to the modem is cusadmin, and I don't believe you can change that (can't confirm since my modem is now in bridged mode).

You can login to the modem however, at default address 192.168.0.1 and change your password and SSID name if you want however.

    ----------

Open a web browser on any device and navigate to: 192.168.0.1

    Connect using the following information:

    • Username: cusadmin
    • Password: xxxxxxxx (enter the new password you selected during initial configuration)

Navigate to to the following section to make any changes:

Wireless → Basic Settings → 2.4GHz → set password at bottom left

Enter password and click on "Save Changes" button

IF you still can't do it, you can always contact Fizz customer service.

Fizz Customer service agents are only available online. Here we are all end users like you.

    • Sign into your account
    • Follow the link on this page: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services or https://fizz.ca/fr/faq/etat-services
    • Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '?' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode
    • Choose the option 💬 chat
    • If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.

PS: For me the only combination that works for CHAT, is Firefox, in a private window, and only when in the French language..

    Other means of contact

CHAT however is the quickest method, but facebook is the easiest.

    Hi,

it’s very simple, and you can do it with the app. Go to the Wi-Fi tab, and tap the network you want to change the name on, then tap the network name again, and a keyboard will appear immediately offering you to change the network name. Remember to save the name when done, and you will then need to reconnect all your devices to the new network name (SSID) you created.

Hello @Benny C. , I second @Emporium's comments. The username is what you see when logged in to the modem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you want to change the name on the WIFI signal you and others see, this you can change as well as the password as @Emporium commented above. If you want to improve security a generic name of a connected device, ie. Samsung fridge, might be neat and a longer, complex password is better.
