I saw that there’s a cell plan with 12Go, unlimited text and phone calls all over Canada for only 40$. If I subscribe to this plan, will it only be available for the duration of the discount since there’s no contract?

    Hello @Gik237

Fizz has no discount duration, you keep the price as long as you don't change. Nevertheless Fizz keeps the right to change it. Since its existence Fizz did only once but to a few select clients and the upgrade resulted to less than the current rate at the times (so not a big deal, especially when you look at other providers who upgrade every year).

On that, Fizz wording is clear:

[...] if you see a plan or price that would be better for your wallet, grab it. [...] you get to enjoy it for as long as you want.

Source: https://fizz.ca/en/unique-philosophy , paragraph 1 "Change your price without having to negotiate"

Basically, Fizz change plans every now and then. So make sure you grab the plan that corresponds to your needs for the long run. It will then become a grand-fathered plan.

On a last note, there is a contract of some sort but it's a monthly one, called "Services Agreement". It stipulates those conditions. Mind you, the monthly rebates do not change your plan (nor the Services Agreement), they only change your billing, to your benefit. For instance, on signup (level 1) you will not only get your desired 12GB but get an extra 250MB of mobile data free of charge. And at level 4 you'll get 1$, when applied your plan will remain 40$ but will be billed 39$.

    Other tips:

    • do you really need to call non-1-800 numbers in ROC?
    • do you really need to SEND SMS (receving SMS is always free)?

    Hi Gik237

Usually they don't change the price of plan, I read this on multiple posts. However, in the agreement they wrote, like all other provider, that they can change the price with 30 days notices.

If you are willing to sign on, remember to use a referral code, https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2198337/this-is-the-place-for-your-referral-codes-here-and-only-here, but please pick it randomly, since some people are exploiting the system, posting with multiple accounts and flashing one.

This is a guide how to order the sim https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-order-sim-card

Remember to use the referral on the activation, only at this time you can use https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-invite-friends-to-join-fizz

As already mentioned, you keep the price as long as you don’t change the subscription. Be aware, as soon as you change the slightest thing, you will get a new subscription agreement with a new price.

Hello, Fizz is a prepaid service so there are no fixed term contracts. Fizz can change their pricing after they provide the customer with advance notice. To date I don't think they've increased anyone's plan pricing, as they are trying to gain customers largely based on competitive pricing. Go for it if it fits your needs.

    Hi @Gik237 ,

As mentioned above, typically the price will remain the same as long as you don't make any changes to your plan from month to month.

Fizz is a great provider with lots of great perks. It is possible to receive monthly bonus data from them and other great perks. Check out the FIZZ site for more, such as data gifting etc.

If you are a new user who is signing up, activate your mobile plan by January 12, 2022 by using a referral code (like the one next to my name above ;) ;) ) and you will receive a $50 credit to your account after your 2nd billing cycle. The person whose code you use will also receive a $50 credit.

Please ask if you have more questions.

    Thanks!
