Installed an indoor camera, but the app can’t connect to it when I’m outside

installed a camera (Aqara, if that matters). While my phone is connected to the same wifi, it works fine. But once i get out, it can’t connect to the camera. What can I do about it?

im using the modem+router thing came with the service.

    Your camera needs to broadcast on the internet and then when you're away, you would use their app to connect to your IP address/port. The server is probably password-protected so that it's secure for you. You probably need to set it up.

    It likely hasn’t anything to do with the internet and the router. Try to check in the app whether you need to enable a remote access. Sometimes this is deactivated my default
