mailbox account not working

I have a mailbox account and a mailbox pin but I cannot access the mailbox

    Activate your voicemail
    1. Activate your voicemail by making a plan change, and adding the voicemail option (in My Plans > Manage plan > Make changes to this plan > Change plan > Voicemail).

    2. IMPORTANT - Any change to your plan must be made in accordance with the plan change policy detailed on This change will come into effect at the beginning of your next payment cycle.

    3. Without the Voicemail option added to your plan, the messaging service won’t answer any call.
    Access your voicemail
    1. To access your voicemail, hold the ''1'' key on your phone for a few seconds. For many phones, holding the ''1'' key the speed dial option to reach voicemail. This may vary between different phone models.
    2. The speed dial setting "1" to access voicemail (1-514-647-0999) may vary from one phone to another since it depends on each model’s operating system. Additionally, this setting may not be editable in all phones.
    3. If you are forwarding your calls to another number, the voicemail won’t pick up the call.
    4. To manually access your mailbox, dial 1-514-647-0999 from a “Non Fizz” phone. 
    Choose an access code (PIN)
    1. When you activate your voicemail, an access code (PIN) will be sent to you via text message. This code is not required the first time you access your voicemail, but the system will ask you whether you’d like to personalize it. We recommend you do for security reasons. Make sure to choose a PIN you’ll remember easily, all the while keeping in mind that unsafe combinations such as 1234 or 8888 will be rejected.
    2. Know that you can change your NIP directly via your voicemail, or online from your Fizz account (Under: My Plans > Manage My Plan > Advanced Settings > PIN to Access Your Voicemail).
    Record your voicemail greeting
    1. You must record a personalized 30-second greeting that people will hear when they are transferred to your voicemail. The system will guide you to record it.
    Will you keep the 20 seconds?
    1. You can determine how long before callers are transferred to your voicemail.
    2. By default, incoming calls will be redirected to your voicemail after 20 seconds without a response. You can adjust this timeframe, however, by dialling the following combination in your phone:

    6. The number of seconds you choose must be a multiple of 5 and be between 5 and 30 seconds. Special characters are required in this command (asterisk, hashtag, etc.).
    To change the language of your voicemail
    1. Access your voicemail by pressing the "1" key on your phone keypad. To manually access your mailbox, dial 1-514-647-0999 from a “Non Fizz” phone.
    2. Enter your PIN followed by “#”.
    3. Press “4” to modify the voicemail parameters.
    4. Press “3” to change the language:
    • To select English, press “1”.
    • To select French, press “2”.

    Which mailbox are you referring to?

    Do you mean the account messages from Fizz? These go to the inbox of your own email.

    Do you mean the community messages?

    If you are referring to the voicemail messages of Fizz mobile, you can see the instructions here:

    • on your keypad, long-press "1" (This may vary between different phone models)
    • you need minutes (you are ok if your plan is unlimited minutes), an active plan with that feature in it and be in your coverage area.
    • Alternatively, dialing 1-514-647-0999 from any phone should do it
