Setting up mobile data (APN) on Phosh / Pinephone / PostmarketOS
I'm not specifically using the Pinephone, but a Moto G4 Play with PostmarketOS and Phosh. It's basically the same OS. Phosh only allows you to enter details in the following fields when creating an APN connection: Name, APN, Username, Password.
I previously setup the mobile data on the same phone with Lineage OS. That OS allows you to enter all the details provided by Fizz such as:
- APN: mobile.bm
- MMSC: http://mms.mobile.bm
- MMS proxy: mmsproxy.mobile.bm
- MMS port: 80
- APN type: default,mms,supl
It worked great with Lineage OS, but on Phosh you need some different information. See the following link for people listing the APN details for their carriers (https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php?title=PinePhone_APN_Settings). For example, Videotron is:
Name: Videotron APN: media.ng Username: free Password: <empty>
What would it be for Fizz? I tried:
Name: Fizz
APN: mobile.bm
Username: empty (and "free")
Password: empty
Thank you!

APN settings are static, there aren't multiple different ones for the same carrier. What you have listed are the correct settings as per https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
If they don't work, it's not an issue with the APN settings.
Just to be clear though, empty doesn't mean you type empty, you just don't fill that field.
