No Service with new sim- Iphone 7
Hi,
I have just bought a fizz sim card and activated it today. It shows 'No Service' on my phone, but works perfectly on my friend's phone (also iphone 7). The point is his sim card, Chatr carrier, also works on mine. So it means that Fizz has some kind of restriction on my phone since in the Network section is shown 'Phone Not Allowed'. I have used different sim card providers in Iran (where I bought the phone in the first place) for 5 years and they worked just fine with my phone.
I have contacted apple store and they said that the problem is with the carrier, not the phone.
I really don't know what to do. If the problem continues, I have to cancel my plan and choose a carrier that provides connection with my phone.
Thank you.

Hi Arman
Do you have the latest iOS updates on your iPhone?
You can also try a factory reset of your phone to see if it will work with the Fizz SIM card.

By the way, with whom did you purchase your phone?
If it was with Rogers, Fido or ChatR, then it's possible your phone is still locked to their network. This would explain why it doesn't accept the Fizz SIM card. In this case, you would need to ask Apple or the original seller to unlock the phone.

Thanks.
It's already upgraded. Is reseting to the factory a sure thing?

I bought it from Iran. Since there's no official apple store in Iran, I bought it from a store that sells apple products. It worked just fine with 3 different carriers in Iran for 5 years.

The model number is MNC32LL/A of serie A1660.
Yes, I should try messaging them via twitter and whatsapp and hope that they can help.
Thanks

Yes good idea to contact Fizz.
Sorry I didn't read your original question properly. I should have noticed that your phone is from Iran.
If you don't need to save anything on your phone, it can't hurt to try a factory reset. At the very least, you should try a network reset.
