My IMEI is correct but Fizz says it isnt

I'm trying to transfer my active phone number from virgin mobile to fizz but when I try the transfer it says my IMEI is incorrect but when I double checked It was entirely correct. What do I do?

    I suggest you to contact the customer service to resolve this isue, you can do it by opening the following link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services and simply scroll down until you see the green bubble, than click on it to start your chat session with the customer service.

    They'll surely be able to resolve the issue.

    I would suggest the same. Please contact customer support.

    Also note - Fizz only lets you transfer numbers with a Quebec or Ottawa area code. So you cannot transfer a 647 number for example.

    also don’t forget to use a referral code upon activation of the plan (before you sign up). Right now you get 75$ welcome bonus :)

    I had a similar issue when I ported my wife's phone to another provider.

    In some cases, the original provider is not pulling the IMEI number off the current device you are using, but in my case, the original provider had the IMEI for my wife's first ever phone with that provider. It's like when the SIM was activated, the provider took a snapshot of the device it was activate in and kept that in it's files and never updated it, even though she had changed 3 or 4 phones since then.

    A transfer can also be done, by using an account number I believe. You could easily ask for that from Virgin, or even ask them for the IMEI number they have on file.

    Use you account number with Virgin to transfer to Fizz, it's less painful, You can find your account number on your monthly statement, or Log in to your Virgin account and copy account #.
