Am I able to postpone internet installation for 2-3 months without losing promo offer?
Hi,
I am moving and have recently signed up with Fizz internet plan with the referral code promo for $50 for 120mbs package.
I have initially scheduled the installation date for this week. However, after giving it more thought, I have realized that I do not really need a home internet access at the moment and will only need it around November (will purchase a TV for Black Friday and use Netflix). So for the moment, I can simply rely on my smartphone data for email and bill payments etc. I can save some money at the process..
My question is whether there are any consequences for postponing the home internet installation date by having it around October/November. Will I be at risk of losing the referral bonus promo or the promotional $50/120mbs a month plan if I decide to push the installation date that far?

Yes, you are correct. The time when you pre-pay the first month and originally sign-up for the plan is relevant for the offer. It doesn’t matter whether you postpone your appointment or have it at a later date. The contract is created the moment you sign-up and pre-pay the first month.
As Mike correctly pointed out, be careful of the rule regarding rescheduling the appointments. Apart from that you are good :)

Attention this is the rule
You can reschedule your appointment up to three (3) times. If you try to reschedule a fourth time, your subscription will be automatically cancelled, and you’ll have to restart the process all over.

Therefore, try to schedule once, but not more, since if for some reason the tech will not show the first time you need to have at least once more schedule

So I’m assuming I will still be able to profit from the referral code $75 promo and the $50 plan even if I decide to postpone the installation date, on the condition that I don’t cancel the scheduled appointment more than 3 times.
