Cannot receive MMS from USA

I have a Canada-wide plan, with unlimited texts and a lot of data. I have plenty of plan data left right now. I am not currently on a wifi network, I have LTE network access only. I have no problem accessing the internet. Text messaging and calls are working normally.

I cannot receive MMS messages from USA numbers. (I can send them to Canada and US phones. I can receive them from Canada numbers.)

I have a brand new phone purchased from Fizz a few weeks ago. All of my software and my OS are up to date. All of my settings and APN configurations are correct. I have followed every instruction on this page https://fizz.ca/en/faq/i-cant-send-or-receive-multimedia-text-messages-why except using another phone, because right now I don't have access to one. None of the troubleshooting options work.

My questions:

1. Do I need a Canada-USA plan to receive MSS messages from American numbers?
2. If the answer above is "NO," what should I do to fix the problem, given that nothing has worked so far?
