In new condo, there is no coaxial connector available (although cable is there) , will tech be able to come inside the apartment to install connector during self-installation appointment? Thanks

Yes, you can ask tech to install a cable connector or splitter for free.

Thanks, Just thought that on website, they said due to Covid-19, they can only leave the modem outside and wait in the truck. So Fizz right now can come inside the apartment?

Yes, in my case last Thursday, Videotron tech entered in my house with mask and shoe cover, testing cable and switching the location of the coaxial cable, the tech was very nice. He worked about 40 minutes.

The tech entered my house as well.

To self installation just means you will set up the modem yourself. The tech still needs to test the cable signal. They will cut like one inch at the end of the loose cable in your condo, add a connector to it and then test the signal to make sure you are all good!

I also chose self installation. Because I didn't cancel CIK's internet, I wanted to test fizz and CIK's internet together. So the tech changed his splitter instead of my original splitter. But his two splitters didn't work for two modems at same time, then the tech changed back to my original splitter. My splitter worked for two modems together. It took a lot of time, but that's free.
