Hello Cath
you can buy a coaxial extension and an adaptor at any good electronic store.
Alternatively, scheduling another appointment will cost 60$. Source: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/i-would-like-to-add-or-relocate-an-outlet-how-do-i-do-this
Chat bubble is the best tool to reach Fizz. This forum is mostly for mutual help between customers. To chat:
- Go to a FAQ page e.g. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services
- Look bottom right for the big ❔ question mark in a green bubble.
- Click it, options will be displayed
- Choose "💬 Chat"
- Note: the bubble will only display the chat for a computer version. If you are on a cell phone, you must check "Desktop site" in your browser settings.
- Submit your question with possibly a relevant screenshot or modem photo
- After that will be displayed the number of customers preceding you, to manage your expectations. Updated real time.
The advantages of Fizz bubble tool are the management of waiting times and the ability to print (e.g. PDF) a copy of the conversation for your records. Sometimes you can even leave a comment about your satisfaction with the conversation.

It is very easy to do it yourself.
Check if you can unscrew the cable from the wall and from the model yourself (sometime technician use locks that require a special tool). If so, you just need a longer cable as mentionner by Idefizz.
Please don't get the cable from the dollar store: you want to purchase a good quality cable otherwise you may have signal lost for your modem that can slower your internet connection.
