In the Do it yourself installation they refer to Cable,, however Virgin uses Telephone jack. does that mean i simply take the DSL jack from the Virgin Modem and plug it into the Fizz Modem when I receive it, Or is it more complicated than that ?

It sounds like you are switching your Internet from a DSL (phone) connection.

The Fizz modem uses an RG-62 cable connection, like a Cable TV.

You will need to have that installed by the Fizz installer when they bring the modem.

Then your computer cabling (RJ-45) is connected to the Fizz modem/router (or you use Wi-Fi).

*Only* the computer cable (RJ-45) will move from the Virgin modem to the Fizz modem.

A phone jack has a smaller RJ-11 connector, that will physically fit (loosely) in an RJ-45 network jack, but will NOT work.

I assume that you already have signed up and booked an appointment?

If not, there is a $75 referral bonus available, and 120/20 is also available at a discounted rate.

Please make sure the technician checks your cable signal in your apartment.

He may also needs access to the Videotron cable room/closet in your building.

    Welcome to fizz.
