Data Gifting Badges - must be friends?
I usually do the anonymous gifting with referral codes to help strangers out every month, does this not count towards the Hero badge?

Yes it does. But we cannot see a countdown.
No need to be friends, my first one was not in my contacts.
If you are sure you gave more than required, contact support, it has already happened that badges are not assigned automatically.
Remember :
- only mobile data gifted from your paid plan counts toward the hero badge (not perks)
- to optimize your donation count, you can gift the minimum 500MB each time
- you can gift repeatedly to the same Fizz member
- there are 4 Hero badges for gifting data to 1, 5, 10, or 25 members.

Yeah, I've only been gifting from my paid plan. My first one was before the anonymous gifting was implemented, so I have the 1 member Hero badge. I can't remember for certain if I'm over the next level, I'll wait for next cycle to see for sure before bothering CS.
