You can only request the transfer once you are in the process fo activating your account. There will be a window specifically asking you whether you want a new number to transfer an old one. In other words: You will need your simcard first as thus process can only be initiated with an active sim.
Please keep in mind that you can only transfer Quebec numbers and Ottawa Area Code numbers. So you are not able to transfer a 647 number for example.

It's done by Fizz during the activation process of your SIM card.

Make sure that:
- your account stays active at your current provider
- it is not a landline nor a VoIP number.
- it is a mobile number coming from the province of Quebec or the Ottawa region
And if it is your first Fizz service, make sure to use the referral code at the proper moment at the ORDER SUMMARY step on YOUR FIRST ACTIVATION
- It's the only place you can apply it
- It's the only moment, forgetting it and it's too late

Ye you will need the serial number of your sim card to transfert the number to the sim.
