I was wondering if I will be able to make calls, text and use my data with the alcatel go flip 3, wich is a flip phone. Also, if it works now, will it stop working in like a year??

Thanks:)

Your phone must be able to support the following bands:

For an LTE-compatible phone configured with LTE network preferences:

    • Calls: Your device must support HSPA 850 MHz or 1900 MHz frequencies
    • Mobile data: Your device must have dual-frequency support for 1700/2100 MHz (also called AWS or band IV)

Your phone can also support other frequencies that allow it to take advantage of the LTE network.

For a phone that only allows 3G or HSPA preferred:

    • Calls and / or mobile data: The phone must support the 1700/2100 MHz frequency (also called AWS)

The Alcatel Go Flip 3 support the following bands:

    2G bandsGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 CDMA 800 / 19003G bands

    HSDPA 850 / 1700(AWS) / 1900

    4G bands2, 4, 5, 12, 25, 26, 41, 66, 71

    So yes, it should work!

    Welcome to Fizz :)

Here is the Fizz FAQ for device compatibilities, have it a try: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices

If it's going to work in a year? Like if the carrier will stop serving the frequencies supported by your flip phone? Usually a phone company will add frequencies, not remove some (unless it's very very old or other obscure reasons like security). But I'm no expert on the matter. Then again, I'm not sure they will make such announcement.

In doubt, chat with them! Chat bubble is the best tool to reach Fizz.

    1. Go to a FAQ page e.g. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/resolving-issues
    2. Look bottom right for the big green question mark
    3. Click it, a bubble will appear
    4. Submit your question with possibly a relevant screenshot
    5. After that will be displayed the number of customers preceding you, to manage your expectations. Updated real time.
    6. ALTERNATIVELY, try leaving a message on Facebook Messenger, iMessage or Twitter private.
