I have cable in my place and will be installing the modem myself. Roughly how many days do I have to wait for installation after I make a request?

It depends how busy their schedule is. Took only a 2-3 days for me, way back then, to have the tech deliver the modem (was a self-install tho, which I guess speeds up things).

The best estimate will be shown to you in the appointment section, see https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-manage-appointment-technician-visit-my-service-address

More about their scheduling tool at https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-subscribe-to-fizz-home-internet#6

    Tips:

    • the earlier you schedule it, the sooner you'll have it. Obviously.
    • Also don't wait for the end of a billing period to move. Usually ISP will bill proportionally until you call them to cut your Internet's billing. So basically, internet billings can overlap.
    • Mind you this is not the same for phone carriers where the new provider does the transition for you so you keep your phone number.

There is now exact timeline we can give you. As mentioned, it largely depends on their schedule. For me it was two days but that was pre-covid.

I could have gotten an appointment only a few days later least week, waited a bit longer because I wanted one on the weekend. Only cancel your current internet once the new one is working so you get a lot of flexibility.
