Hello, I have canada wide data coverage with unlimited calling, does this mean I can make calls anywhere in canada with no long distance charges?

    Subscription area

If you live in this area, you can subscribe to Fizz mobile services. The majority of your usage must be done in your subscription area, not on partner networks (Fizz EXT), regardless of your coverage area. It is the area where you must live to be a Fizz subscriber

    Coverage area

The coverage area you choose for your mobile plan determines where you can use your service (on top of your subscription are where the majority of your usage must be done). Outside your coverage area, you’ll need to buy Add-ons or pay as you go. It is where you can use your Fizz plan without paying roaming fees

Some clarification: Yes, you can call anywhere in Canada.

To use your phone, not only for calls - data, text or call- you must be in the coverage/subscription zone.

Not anywhere, you must be in the pink coverage zone seen in the map shown at https://fizz.ca/en/coverage .

Outside your coverage area, you’ll need to buy Add-ons or pay as you go

Mind you the competition have such maps. So although it looks trimmed, the other operators also do not cover absolutely everywhere.

    Hello Eric

Here is the answer to your question.

What is the difference between my coverage area and subscription area?

Your coverage area is where you can use your Fizz plan without paying roaming fees. When you subscribed and created your plan, you chose your coverage area: Quebec, Canada or USA + Canada. If you roam outside your coverage area, you can use your Fizz plan on our partner networks. Log into your account any time to change your coverage area: How to change your plan.

If you selected the Quebec coverage in your plan, consider buying a Travel Add-on or an International call Add-on to make your calls to Canada or the United States.

The subscription area is the area where you must live to be a Fizz subscriber.

If you live in the subscription area and your address is not recognized, do not hesitate to contact us so that we check with you.

Technically if you have data + Canada wide option in your plan you should be able to call anywhere in Canada.
