Can we all ask to get 5G (the new generation) so that Fizz/Videotron consider it to be a priority?
The new generation of phones came out, 5G is very powerful and would be a great addition to fizz. It would be nice that we're not the ones lagging behind other mobile providers. The new iphone and Samsung both work with 5G and I want to stay with Fizz. If anyone else thinks it would be a nice addition please comment.

Hi Israel
Can you elaborate and explain why you need the 5G? What speed to you have at home and in your phone now?
Do you need to download Gb in your phone in seconds?
Do you thing that 60-70 Mbps are not sufficient?
The LTE is able to support multiple sessions of video in 4K for example
Please convince me that the 5G is something that I need on my phone23 -
Honestly, I never understood the whole hype about 5G. It's still way to early for us to utilise this efficiently on our phones. Even 3G is still plenty for most people to use their phones without any problems. I once had to take a plan that only included 3G and thought it would be bad but I used it without any noticeable difference. I could stream all my videos, could do countless of FaceTime Calls in great quality and stream the internet with no lag at all.
So with he lighting fast LTE Fizz is offering, we are good to go for the next couple of years.
If it helps you though, Videotron is rolling it out and eventually it will also become available to Fizz users.19 -
Going by your logic, why do we all buy new phones if we can still make phone calls, video chats, and have access to the web on a 2013 phone? Because you want better, that’s the answer. I am a very satisfied customer of Fizz. I’ve been with them for years and have never bothered asking a question since I had nothing to ask more of them. I love how they operate and how it works over many different mobile providers. With that said, I’ve bought a Samsung ultra 5G and I want our community to be able to use what all the new phones of the future will use soon, the 5G network. Better stream, videos, gaming you name it. We all have different needs but with fizz mentioning that they will implement the 5G based on their customer needs I assume it will be at the bottom of the list and with how well they are doing already I believe they should consider getting it more and that it might attract some new customers knowing that they can provide 5G to their Network.16

5G is a big change. Videotron begin to install it at Montreal. Since you need a lot of antenna. That will be long. If you live out of big city, you can forget the 5G for many years...To reach the top speeds associated with 5G, carriers need millimeter-wave (or mmWave) technology, which takes advantage of the very high end of the wireless spectrum. mmWave could enable those 10-Gbps speeds, but it comes with a trade-off: Millimeter-wave signals are less reliable over long distances and are easily disrupted by obstacles like trees, people, and even rain. To make it practical for mobile use, carriers need to deploy huge numbers of small access points in cities, instead of relying on a few big cell towers as they do today.19

i agree with members. I don't see why it is useful to have 5G on our phones.
I asked myself the same thing about the high speed internet. Why does people need more than 120 MBPS internet speed? i don't see the point.18 -
@Mike, Yes 5G has more frequencies but I think Zelos want exterm speed.... this is why I put the 10-Gbps speed. lol We will need bonus with extra data at that speed!!!17

I'm more interested about LTE+ which was supposed to be active last december in Montreal...12

5g will increase price and makes imo no sense. Ilte+ is awesome8

Zelos,
Be sure if in the future, Fizz will offer 5G, you will pay not the same monthly price of your Fizz mobile plan.
I'm satisfied with the LTE network.3 -
Yeah I don't see the point in passing more for speed that's already fast enough. However the idea that 5g could replace our wired modem for home internet is interesting. No more modem and router!2
