Unable to add fizz contact?

Used both phone number and email address, however the search shows no results. Verified the search profile is set to full experience.
Unfortunately Fizz had to disable the search contact option for now, likely to investigate this problem: https://community.fizz.ca/questions/2544662-fizz-members-targeted-text-message-phishing
We'll have to wait for Fizz to reactivate it.
Meanwhile you can still gift data from your plan to other Fizz members.
Go to My Plans → Click gift from the account → Start Gifting → Gift to a new fried
Enter the phone number or email This will open the gifting tool, it is preferable to use the phone number
- Select the amount of data you wish to gift and click Next.
- Customize a message to the recipient and click Send.14
Fizz has disabled this function due to privacy reasons. If you want to gift data you can still use the phone number or referral code.9
Unfortunately that function is disabled for now... I'm waiting for Fizz to reactivate it. I hope they will solve that problem soon!11
Mike's response is the solution for now. I recently did that to gift some data to a friend.
The gifted data will be taken directly from your current data plan. You won't be able to gift a perk to a new contact until Fizz reactivates the option to add the new contact.9
This feature is down for now, they are trying to fix an issue about it9
I wish Fizz would give us an update on this problem.10
Seems like I'm unable to gift a perk to someone who's not on my contact; does anyone else have a similar problem?6
