I am only receiving 80-95 mbps of my 200mbps subscription. Tested single device connected on short Ethernet to the modem. Is this to be expected?

Hi David
Is your cable at least a cat 5e? The ethernet is connected at 1000Gb?
Did you try the speed with the Fizz app?

Cable Cat5e and Cat6
10/1000 connection ports
Fizz App Internet to Modem = 231mbps Modem to device = 86mbps
Fast.com = 90mbps Wired
Devices Connected: 1 Cell Phone, 1 PC (Wired Cat 6)
Still no luck, if I factory reset the Fizz Modem it goes to 200mbps for a little bit but then resets to 90ish mbps.
UPDATE: I solved this issue, there were two problems. I was running a long Cat6 cable which seemed to be damaged. Also, I was connecting to an old laptop with a 10/100 connection.
Rebooting the Modem, Changing the cable, and using a 10/1000 dongle I was getting the proper speed.5
