Outgoing calls were not working until I received a call.
I was unable to make outgoing calls. I tried many numbers (VOIP, mobile and lan lines) and it would just not ring.
Then I had a friend call me, and it worked. Then I could make calls after that. What's the deal? What if I need to make a call at some point and can't ask someone to call me to "re-enable" my phone line?
It's all nice and dandy to not have a phone number for FIZZ, but when there are bugs in their systems like that, it would be nice to be able to report it.

Hi Yankee
Try restarting your phone.
You can also try your SIM card on another phone to rule out any issues with your current phone.
If the problem continues, you can contact customer support by chat:
1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Any ad blockers in your browser should be disabled.
3- Open a Fizz help page like this one: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-make-sure-my-mobile-service-working-properly
4- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.9 -

I find that their page "Service Status" is useless
If you will have a similar probable again, you must try to reboot the phone, this will force a new registration
Did you checked the signal level?
If this problem will be present again, please contact the support to investigate
