Sorry you cannot have an extra modem.

Why do you need an extra modem?

If your modem does not work, you need to contact the support to have it replaced

If you need to extend the WiFi coverage I would like to suggest to buy a router, and configure the modem in bridge mode. One of my friend use an ASUS and the Wifi coverage almost double

My smart Tv in the basement is very slow when using the internet....my modem is upstaires...I thaught that an extra modem could work better hooked directly to the smart TV
An suggestion to make the internet faster on the downstairs Smart TV?

Hi Manon,
To add on to what Mike said, you can also purchase a Wi-Fi Repeater/Powerline extender.
You can purchase these at Best Buy, but i'd recommend speaking to someone you trust to recommend which would be best as it depends on your House, wiring, etc.

I don’t think you can but as other said, you can buy a wifi extender or a router to try to solve your problem.

No you can’t, unfortunately.
However you can either set the modem up in bridge mode and use your own router or buy an extension
